This hidden gem Google Arts & Culture launched in 2011 and has a ton of great content and images centered around arts and culture around the world that can used in the classroom. The home page features different themes & stories. The explore tab digs a little deeper into the content showcasing content collected from the art camera, 360º videos, street view, content collections and popular topics.
Many of the art images are collected with the Art Camera, which collects gigapixel images, think crazy high res images that one can zoom into, down to the brush strokes. Check out how this imagery is collected.
It is possible to share the content with your students via a link, Classroom and other social media sites. Creating a gallery allows to one to save a number of items within the site and share an entire gallery with students. Check it out!
